Day One

Day One are a new signing to Bucks and "Probably Art" is their second album and a gem. The album combines essences of trip hop beats from their native Bristol (they were first spotted by Massive Attack's 3D) with Matthews arrangements of real strings, horns, guitars, live drums & percussion and Phelim's beat poet vocal. The album draws from influences of Hip Hop, Folk, Indie and Rock, without ever becoming an incoherent volley of styles.  Comparisons can be made to bands like The Eels, Beck, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Portishead, The Beta Band and G Love & Special Sauce.

The album was produced by Mario Caldato Jnr the producer behind The Beastie Boys, Money Mark, Seu Jorge and Super Furry Animals to name a few.

The band are currently recording the third album and from the sound of the demos its going to be another treat!
