Stone Foundation are a group of seven like-minded individuals that team together to make an exciting blend of Rock n’ Soul music. They are based in the unlikely setting of rural Warwickshire, holed up in their own studio creating a sensational and dynamic soulful sound that is capturing the hearts and minds of live audiences and influential movers and shakers alike.

Their latest album ‘The Three Shades of Stone Foundation’ features US Soul legends Nolan Porter (Paul Weller covered ‘If I could Only be Sure’ on his ‘Studio 150’ album) and Grammy award winner Joe Harris (leader of Tamla Motown group the Undisputed Truth). Nolan and his wife Patrice Zappa, sister of the late, great Frank, requested the band’s services on a recent visit to the UK whilst Joe Harris personally called from LA after seeing footage of the band on You Tube. Never ones to miss an opportunity and always looking forward, keen not to be cast in the role of merely a backing band, the group wrote new songs for both Joe and Nolan to record. An inspired version of Dexys Midnight Runners ‘I Couldn’t Help if I Tried’ (a SF live favourite) was also recorded for the release with Joe pouring out his soulful tones.

Inspired and encouraged by the recent interest and acknowledgement of their music the band are about to embark on their biggest tour to date when they support The Specials on their forthcoming 15 date arena tour of the UK. The group were personally invited to support the Coventry ska legends by the band themselves. High praise indeed and a unique opportunity for the word of the Stone Foundation gospel to spread and travel even further afield.
