After a childhood exposed to pop music of the 60's and 70's, as well as Indian music and Reggae (an elder brother was a member of acclaimed 70's reggae band Culture), Mark became enamored with electronic music after seeing Kraftwerk in concert. After leaving Seefeel in 1992, Mark's first album as 'Locust' was released on seminal Belgian technno label R&S. A prolific period followed, with releases on Touch, Sire, Warners and Sony. Building a cult following of loyal fans and respect from his contemporaries, he carved out a niche in the field of electronic music, identified as brooding electronica with deep emotional feel. His collaborations and productions include Mojave 3, Seefeel, Slowdive,Sing-Sing (ex-Lush) and more recently Esben & The Witch as well as appearances in many films, TV ads, festivals and concerts, including an arena tour with Massive Attack.
