Bio

Born in the whaling town of New London, Connecticut, and based out of the hirsute, indie folk hub that is Portland, Oregon, Quiet Life specializes in wide-open, twang-kissed, Pacific Northwest Americana in the vein of the Lumineers, Head and the Heart, Shovels & Rope, and Trampled by Turtles. Formed in 2006 by brothers Sean (vocals and guitars) and Ryan Spellman (drums and some singing), along with bassist Paul Dutton and guitarist Craig Rupert, the quartet issued its debut album, Act Natural, in 2007. Big Green arrived in 2011, followed by their third long-player, Wild Pack, in 2013.
Quiet Life is the third studio album by English band Japan, released firstly in Japan, Germany, Canada and other countries in December 1979, then in the UK in January 1980 (due to a delay in manufacturing the album) by record label Hansa.nThe album saw a transition from the more glam rock-influenced style of previous albums into a synthpop style. Though sales were initially slow, Quiet Life was the band's first album to chart and was later certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 100,000 copies.
