Bio

Dust-A-phonic is the brainchild of songwriter, musician, producer & talent scout Yvan Serrano aka DJ Healer Selecta. It is more than just a band; it is a concept comprised of a rotating line-up of excellent London-based musicians and friends, who together participate in that unique and infectious Dustaphonics sound. They truly share and treasure the same passion for authentic 50s/60s R’n’B & Rockabilly, 60s Surf, Soul, Funk, Garage, and 70s Punk Rock, which are the main DNA of the band.
Orchestrated by Serrano, they transformed together these influences into their owns specific High-Octane Rhythm’n’Blues and Vavavoom Rock’n’Roll aka Dust-Aphonic!The Dustaphonics is fronted by explosive fireball Hayley Red who sets any stage ablaze, whether it’s 100 people in a basement club in a small English town or 10,000 at a festival in Europe. She always delivers the best while solidly backed up by band leader: Yvan Serrano on guitar, Dan Whaley or Devid Dell’Aiera on bass, Eric Frajria or Legendary Bruce Brand or Hugo Deviers on drums.
In 2009, iconic actress Tura Satana (Varla in Russ Meyer’s cult 1965 movie, Faster Pussycat Kill Kill) wrote for her friend Yvan Serrano the lyrics for a Dustaphonics song: “Burlesque Queen” and that’s what started the ball rolling.
The Dustaphonics have twice been the backing band for original Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd and have supported Motown legends Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Garage punk heroes The Sonics, Queen of Rockabilly Wanda Jackson, Swingin’ London bluesman Sam Gopal, R’n’B maestro James Hunter, etc, etc…
“Dustaphonics! You are a world class act and a very fine Rock’n’Roll band!” said on stage Rob Lind of cult band The Sonics after The Dustaphonics opened the Seattle band’s London show.
