Bio

The London based writing and production trio (Teddy Samba, General Tank & Rasi) have had a stronghold on the UK underground scene since forming in 2003, working with the likes of Wiley, The Rascals, Tinchy Stryder, JME, and Newham Generals. More recently producing Meridian Dan’s PMR Records debut and Top 20 single ‘German Whip’ as well as ‘One Two Drinks’ and BBC 2015 Soundpoll #3 Stormzy’s debut single, ‘Not That Deep’. Recent collaborations also include Mikill Pane and Jordan (Rizzle Kicks) as well as taking their sound to the US, working with Florida native Knytro on Chase and Status’ MTA Records, Shay Gray on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak, and remixing for Vic Mensa (‘Down On My Luck’) and Iggy Azeala ‘Beg For It’.
The Heavytrackerz also have their own artist project in the works, of which the first single ‘Bad Habits’ featuring Yana Toma, co-written by Taneisha Jackson, takes it straight to the dance floor on a 4x4 piano led House stomper.
Their music is stylized with aggression, grit and an instantly recognisable trademark whisper tag that accompanies their productions. We look forward to working with The Heavytrackerz to push their style of production to the forefront and explore how their sonics can be adopted by artists and writers in other genres.
