Bio

Sydney’s Lime Cordiale are out of the blocks early in 2015 with their brand new single ‘Hanging Upside Down’. The single is a trademark slice of the band’s summery indie pop with a stunning clip animated by Matt Schembri collaborating with the band’s Louis Leimbach to animate some of his original artworks.

Fresh from a nine-date tour across the country supporting The Delta Riggs late last year which saw them perform to capacity crowds at sold-out venues in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle, the Sydney five-piece are teeming with momentum after a solid 18 months of local and international touring which has seen them complete two separate twenty-date tours of North America in 2014 and perform alongside the likes of Ball Park Music, The Griswolds, The Rubens and Cosmo Jarvis.

‘Hanging Upside Down’ is the first single to be taken from recently completed studio sessions with Sydney- based producer Jean Paul-Fung (Jinja Safari, Art Vs. Science, Glass Towers). The track follows-on from the band’s sophomore EP, Falling Up The Stairs, which received a release in North America in February; drawing undeniable praise from global tastemakers including CMJ and SXSW in the process.

The five-piece, who are based in Sydney’s northern beaches, have previously sold-out local venues including The Standard and Oxford Art Factory and performed at countless festivals including Bigsound, Homebake, Peats Ridge, Deni Blues, Bluesfest, and SXSW Music Festival in Austin.

The Hanging Upside Down Tour will see Lime Cordiale (with support on all dates from cruising troubadour Lyall Moloney) deliver their unrelenting live show to audiences in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane throughout February.
